Aerial Photography – Wilderness

Steve Zmak has experience photographing a variety of natural or developed terrain from a variety of aircraft. He can portray the earth from the air very literally for urban planning and documentation, or more conceptually  similar to portraiture, still life and landscape photography, or completely abstract with a painterly style.

The Denali landscape from the air is beyond words. Language doesn’t do it justice. The only way to describe it is visually. The low sunlight is always evolving as it circles the park with only a few hours where it dips below the horizon. It never really gets dark—a photographer’s paradise.
