A talented friend of mine once told me that we are all just hiding out here on the Monterey Bay. I have interpreted that statement so many ways through different phases of my life. I think of it often and it came to mind one morning at Moss Landing when nothing was popping out and calling for me to photograph it. When I get in these photoblocks, I tend to get weird. And as Hunter S. Thompson put it, “When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro”—another favorite quote. |
