Steven Levinson Mask One  •  Garrapata State Park, Monterey County, California   •  November 2005

Ceramics artist Steven Levinson and I collaborated on how to showcase his primitive-looking ceramic masks, and decided on Big Sur’s natural environment. We placed the different masks in the Garrapata Creek, and did long exposures of the water pouring over, around and through them.
