Red Lines
• North Monterey County along Highway 1, California • January 2004
This shot is all about the composition of strawberry fields going on to infinity and a dull sunset light making the methyl bromide covers look silvery. I'm very conflicted about this shot because I really like its composition and lighting, and find it aesthetically pleasing. But the subject matter is that of an ozone-frying, carcinogenic poison symbolic of our nation’s prioritizing of profit over health.
